Training for Success Explore all aspects of education and training, learn the key theories behind education, community development, instructional and training design and organisational learning; and master the skills to confidently deliver quality education and training across a range of environments. This course is delivered collaboratively with Whitehall College of Further Education. During term time, learners will spend one day a week in DCU and four days in Whitehall College of Further Education. Interested in developing new drugs such as life-saving vaccines or in creating innovative mass market food products? Bioprocessing could be the right path for you. It involves applying biological sciences and bioprocess engineering principles to the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, enzymes, food and other products, on a commercial scale. On this course, you’ll come to understand the fundamental biological principles and methods involved in developing new drugs and other products. You’ll also learn about the challenges of large-scale manufacturing, and develop the bioprocess and biomolecular engineering knowledge and skills to solve those problems. Future-proof your career The BSc in Bioprocessing is a DCU Futures course, meaning it has been designed to reflect real-world needs and give you a diverse suite of skills. Do you love maths? Do you especially enjoy calculus, probability and statistics? A career in quantitative finance could be ideal for you and this is the course to prepare you for it. The big advances in financial products in recent decades, such as derivative securities, have been driven by new developments in mathematics. Using and developing these products in risk management demands a deep understanding of their mathematical character. This course is distinctive in that it digs down into the underlying mathematics, so you’ll become able to work with flexibility and skill with the latest financial products. You’ll gain cutting-edge knowledge in probability and stochastic processes, financial economics, stock-related and fixed income products, time series analysis, machine learning, and computer-based financial simulation. Develop highly sought-after skills Mathematical and logical reasoning are among the most transferrable and valuable skills graduates can offer prospective employers.
